Welcome to the Private Client Forum Americas 2015 - Bienvenido al Fórum de Clientes Privados las Américas
2015 VENUE ANNOUNCEMENT:
February 4-6, 2015
Papagayo Bay, Costa Rica
Legal Week is delighted to announce that the third annual Private Client Forum Americas, an established gathering of the leading private client lawyers in The Americas, will take place at the exclusive El Mangroove resort in Costa Rica, on February 4-6, 2015.
This three-day conference, proudly sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, has the support of our loyal chairs Joshua Rubenstein of Katten Muchin Rosenman in New York and Javier Canosa of Canosa Abogados in Buenos Aires.

Following extensive research with our leading advisory board, past attendees and new friends of the forum, we have found that there are growing concerns with the instability in the world today. Ranging from the dramatic - as in what do you do if the safe havens become unsafe, or unwelcoming - to the more technical - how do clients deal with global financial monitoring and reporting? Now advisors are more commonly asked to design structures with the greatest flexibility to move from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and to preserve whatever privacy is left in the world, but in legal and proper ways.
This year's forum will discuss how clients need to understand that there are no more gray areas and that compliance is the order of the day. Not only because compliance is legally mandatory, but also because in an era of instability and hostility to wealth, we need to be very careful not to give anyone who would attack our clients any ammunition.
As your clients are looking for innovative ways to protect their families, their wealth, their privacy, their reputations, and their physical safety, we want to help you develop a new ship that can survive rough seas.
If you have any ideas for sessions or speakers, please don't hesitate to contact me on Rhiannon.Van-Ross@incisivemedia.com.
Some key questions I would be delighted to hear your thoughts on:
1) When it comes to private wealth, how connected is North America with Latin America?
2) There is a lot of talk about the explosion of wealth in Asia, what opportunities are there for private client lawyers in the Americas?
3) How do you typically get involved in private client work with a Latin American element?
4) How is the private client legal market developing in the Americas?
5) What three key themes would you like to see in the 2015 forum?
The closing deadline for all topic and speaker suggestions is September 30, 2014.
Speaking on this years agenda, our co-chair Javier Canosa states ''It has the perfect balance between conceptual/philosophical issues and technical information. It is appealing and "usable" for the practitioners."
I look forward to working with you and seeing you on the shores of beautiful Costa Rica.
